Most of my work comes from referrals, which means the people below took a chance on me before there was much to look at. Here's what they say about it afterwards.
Lead generation
We'd been through two agencies that made us something pretty and then disappeared. Hiram asked what a job was worth to us before he asked anything about design. The site went live in weeks and the phone started ringing from search — not just from ads we were paying for.
Web + iPad app
I needed a website and an iPad app for the shop, and every quote I got treated those as two separate projects with two separate teams. He built both, they look like the same thing, and clients now point at a screen instead of trying to describe the cut they want.
Design & motion
We're a studio — our own site had to survive being judged by other designers. He got the art direction on the first pass and the build is genuinely fast, which is the part most people quietly skip.
Idea to production
Servers, DNS, certificates, email that actually lands in the inbox — none of it was my problem at any point. One person took it from a conversation to something running in production, and I never had to project-manage him.
Mobile-first UX
Almost everyone finds us on a phone while they're deciding where to eat. He built for that first instead of shrinking a desktop layout, and you can feel the difference — menu, hours, directions, no hunting.

Fourteen years across the full surface of software: interfaces, the applications behind them, the APIs and data models underneath, and the infrastructure the whole thing runs on. I’m equally comfortable past the codebase — servers, DNS, certificates, deliverability — because that’s part of shipping, not someone else’s step.
